Enrolment Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Mentally and physically fit such as not suffering from any eye disease(s) such as colour deficiency, epilepsy, mental disorder, sudden attack of giddiness or any disability, illness or physical condition which is likely to cause the driving of a motorcar or the riding of a motorcycle to be a source of danger to the public.
• Passed eye-sight and colour-blindness tests.
• Have not accumulated more than 12 demerit points under the Driver Improvement Point System (DIPS).
• Applicants above the age of 65 or pregnant learners must produce a certified doctor's letter stating that he/she is fit
  to drive during the period of training.

Course Outline

Practical Lesson & Session TImings

There are 3 Modules in your Practical Driving Course:

• Module 1: Fundamental Training - Circuit
• Module 2: Progressive Training - Road
• Module 3: Progressive Training - Circuit

The duration of each session is 100 minutes.

Practical Lessons have to be booked in advance.

A Final Evaluation will be conducted by the school to prepare you for your Practical Driving Test.

An average of 27 sessions (inclusive of 2 Auto transmission vehicle lessons) may be required to complete your Practical Driving Course.

You are required to bring along your Training Record Book and Original Identity Card (photocopies will not be accepted) for every lesson. A valid PDL (Provisional Driving Licence) MUST BE PRODUCED for every circuit and road training lesson.

e-Learning

e-Learning starts online with the learning for driving theory. What used to be taught through text books in classrooms can now be easily accessible on your home PC anywhere, anytime.

e-Learning is divided into short modules to allow for easier understanding. Each module is structured as follows:

• Introduction - A precise prelude of the lesson
• What you will learn - Overview of the main learning contents
• Learning outcomes - What you should know at the end of each lesson
• Learning Content - Interactive learning contents
• Quiz - Self evaluation to assess your understanding of the contents
• Conclusion - A short review of the lessons covered

To confidently prepare yourself for the Theory tests, you are encouraged to go through CDC’s e-Learning programme, and attempt the e-Trial tests (within CDC premises) before going for the tests.

Booking of e-Trial Test / Theory Lessons / Internal Evaluation

Booking of e-Trial Test / Theory Lessons / Internal Evaluation can be made:

• In person at the Customer Service Centre counters
• Via Self-Service kiosks
• Via CDC’s online booking system.

Compulsory Internal Evaluation for Basic / Final Theory Test for RE-TEST learners
With effect from 1st June 2010, Learners will have to pass an Internal Evaluation (chargeable at $5.35 per 50 minute session) before you are allowed to book for Traffic Police Basic / Final Theory Test. This applies to re-test learners only.

Cancellation of Internal Evaluation

Cancellation of Internal Evaluation can be made:

• In person at the Customer Service Centre counters
• Via Self-Service kiosks
• Via CDC's online booking system

Cancellation of Internal Evaluation must be made at least 2 working days (48 working hours - not inclusive of Public Holidays) in advance.

Once the learner exceeds the 18 cancellation counts, $5.35 will be levied for every subsequent cancellation. This applies to both theory and practical lessons.

Booking of Practical Lessons

Booking of Practical Lessons can be made:

• In person at the Customer Service Centre counters
• Via Self-Service kiosk
• Via CDC's online booking system

CDC Ubi's Session Opening dates is as follows:

• Manual: 15th of every month
• Auto: 18th of every month

CDC Kovan's Session Opening dates is as follows:

• Manual: 22nd of every month
• Auto: 29th of every month

Cancellation of Practical Lessons

Cancellation of Practical Lessons can be made:

• In person at the Customer Service Centre counters
• Via Self-Service kiosks
• Via CDC's online booking system

Cancellation of any Practical Lesson must be made at least 2 working days (48 working hours - not inclusive of Public Holidays) in advance.

Cancellations on the grounds of last minute or emergency cases including Medical Leave will not be entertained. No cancellation will be accepted on Public Holiday or when the centre is closed. If the practical lessons fall on the day after a Public Holiday or when the centre is closed, cancellation must be made not less than 48 working hours.

The amount paid for the duly successfully cancelled lesson, less any applicable cancellation charge(s), will be credited back to the Learner's Store Value Account. No cancellation charge(s) will be imposed on the Learner so long as the total number of lessons cancelled does not exceed 18 times for the first year of enrolment.

Every learner is entitled to 18 Cancellation Counts, once you exceed your cancellation counts, $5.35 will be levied for every subsequent cancellation. This applies to both Theory and Practical Lessons.

Booking of Theory Tests can be made:

• In person at the Customer Service Centre counters
• Via Self-Service kiosks
• Via CDC’s online booking system

No cancellation or refund of Theory Test date is entertained once booked.

Important Notice: NO Refund for Test cancellation
With effect from 1 October 2008, there will be NO REFUND of test fee for any cancellation of your test date by you.

• You are allowed to book for one test only.
• No multiple bookings of tests across the test centres is allowed.
• Any multiple bookings of test will be cancelled and no refund of the test fees will be made.
• Please ensure compliance before you confirm your booking.

Booking of Practical Driving Test

Booking of Practical Driving Test must be made in person at Customer Service Centre counters.

Learners must fulfil the following criteria:

• Must pass both Basic and Final Theory Tests before booking the Practical Driving Test.
• Completed all e-Learning / theoretical lessons which includes passing the Traffic Police Final Theory Test
  (Final Theory Test result is valid for a period of 2 years only ).
• Must produce a valid PDL (Provisional Driving Licence).
• Must produce Training Record Book.
• Have not accumulated more than 12 demerit points under the Driver Improvement Point System (DIPS).
• Completed school final evaluation of practical driving
• Pregnant learners must produce a certified doctor’s letter stating that she is fit to drive during the test.

No cancellation or refund of Practical Driving Test date is entertained once booked.

With effect from 1st Oct 2008, there will be NO REFUND of test fees, vehicle rental and warming up fees for any cancellation of test date by you.

Application Documents

• Original Identity Card or Passport.
• Provisional driving license (if any) (Class 3/3A only).
• Student Pass, Work Permit or Employment Pass and Passport (for foreigners only).

Photocopies of the documents will not be accepted.
