Compliment on Driving Instructors' Professionalism
I am writing to compliment to pleasant experience I had through the course of Class 3 training I attended in Nov and Dec 2010.
I would like to express my gratitude and appraisal of the working professionalism your instructors had showcased in teaching and guidance during the Basic theory and Practical driving lessons. They had been notably friendly.
Mr Norman Tan had been very patient in ensuring that all the learners understood the concepts and theories, he was very keen and willing to stay behind, to clarify doubts that some of us had, even after the lessons had ended by 2150hrs. it is because of him, I dare say, that all of us cleared our Basic Theory Test without problems.
I would also like to point out the excellent teaching service that your instructors had provided, namely Mr Nelson Wee and Mr Ivan Tan. They had been very patient and never failed to put in the effort to ensure that I exercise due safety and precaution in my learning process.
In addition, I would like to commend Mr Tan’s attitude towards being a driving instructor. Not only did he conduct the lessons to meet the objectives of ensuring the learner acquired better driving skills, he was, in my opinion, an instructor who goes the extra mile. Knowing that I did not enjoy driving, he was able to convince and change my mindset towards driving in order to meet the demands of me becoming a Police Officer.
Now having passed the Traffic Police Practical Driving Test, and with a better attitude towards driving, I would like to once again thank the instructors for their wonderful guidance and professional teaching that they have been providing in helping learners acquire our driving licences.

Kudos to CDC, Kolji and especially Walter!
I passed my Final Theory and Practical Driving Test on my first attempt within a period of three months, Nov to Feb! This was made possible due to ComfortDelGro Driving Centre’s structured and modular lessons and A* driving instructor, Mr Walter Peh.
I had a psychological barrier towards driving as I had witnessed a fatal car accident in my late teens. In addition, I am a forgetful and slow learner. I shared my fears and characteristics with Customer Service officer, Mr Kolji Cheng, when I was at CDC to enquire about lessons. Kolji was the first angel I met at CDC who recommended the second angel, Walter, to be my instructor.
Water was patient and professional. He gave me a lot of encouragement and even specially prepared for me a detailed step-by-step instruction for circuit obstacles! I am so truly touched by his kindness!
I have been doing inside sales for the past 10 years and have finally progressed to doing field sales which requires a driving licence within my organization. I have always been a passenger when ferrying my boys for enrichment classes during weekends but now I have upgraded to be the driver. I feel that I am a more competent mum now.
My career and family life have been transformed within a four-month period! No words can describe how thankful and grateful I am! Kudos to CDC, Kolji and especially Walter!

Compliments
I would like to thank Mr Anthony Wee and Mr Tan Lai Hock for their patience and enthusiasm in teaching me. Their friendly attitude instead of maintaining a teacher-learner role made learning fun without compromising safety.
I would also like to commend the staff at Kovan for their readiness to always assist a learner no matter how tedious the request. Their patience is much appreciated.
Thank you all.

Letter of Compliment
I have recently passed my driving test with only 6 demerit points. Although this was my 4th attempt, still I would like to credit my success to instructor Mr Seah Choon Chai.
I chose to begin my learning journey with CDC, as I always believed in learning through a systematic way. In the course of my learning, I was assigned to Mr Seah. This one lesson really impressed me a lot as I realized what it meant to “Learn from Experience” and not just based on theory alone. For a greenhorn driver and someone who seldom travels by car, I found it hard to visualize/conceptualise certain aspects of driving techniques and judgement, especially when he first taught me the techniques on mirror judging or steering wheel control. Therefore, I do not deny that the first impression of Mr Seah’s teaching felt intimidating as he is stern and serious
However, for once I felt I really gained something through his lesson. Thus, I intend to fix Mr Seah for my subsequent lessons should his schedule permit, as I am interested in his teaching methodology. Although all instructors may have different approaches to driving techniques, I find Mr Seah’s method works well for me. My experience with other instructors provides a benchmark to the standards set by Mr Seah. He was very meticulous in identifying my weakness and correcting them. Even though it was only our 1st lesson. My decision was more firm especially since I started browsing through the list of testimonials at the Customer Service Centre. I realized that Mr Seah has quite a good record, based on the testimonials given by various students throughout the years dating back to 2007.
I guess I was a rather exasperating learner in the beginning as I kept repeating the same mistakes, neither was I able to concentrate nor digest information well. I can’t even make out how many rounds of the steering wheel to turn nor return left or right while reversing. Once, Mr Seah even joked that I drive like a Lorry-driver, from the way I handle the wheel. But it is cases like this, that etch in my memory for me to reflect and learn from, instead of getting discourage or fearful. Knowing how poor my memory can be, Mr Seah even acceded to my request by patiently repeating his instructions step by step for me to jot down into my book as a guideline. After further lessons, I get quite comfortable to his teaching methodology and came to grasp the techniques better. However, should I happen to have lessons with other instructors, I find myself not performing to my usual standards and it stressed me out.
Gradually, Mr Seah made me realize that it all boils down to my own confidence on the road. Despite failing my first three attempts at Practical Test, Mr Seah continued to believe and encourage me. He will always tell me that I failed not because I can’t drive, but because I lack confidence in my driving. I could drive well during lessons but when it comes to practical test, I tend to make mistakes out of nervousness.
To overcome this, Mr Seah took me to drive down the busiest lane (Eunos Link) frequently during morning lessons. He would let me practice and practice to sharpen my skills and build up my confidence. All in all, lessons with Mr Seah has been pretty enjoyable as he shared with me lots of life experiences on the road. I feel this is rather important to me as it brings the lessons to life. I found that I could start grasping concepts better and losing the stress in driving. He would “challenge” me to do well for the tests and would always be positive over my performance, even though I did not manage to pass in my previous attempts.
All in all, I just wish to thank Mr Seah, for mentoring me to this stage. He is a dedicated and responsible instructor, whom I believe, does go beyond his call of duty to see his learners through a successful Pass in their driving. This pass in driving is my best reward to him. I will strive to be a safe driver, to drive well with the skills that he has imparted to me.
As much as I’ve heard about horror stories of driving instructors from my peers, I have to comment that CDC instructors do display professionalism in their role. Last but not least, I would also like to thank the many other CDC instructors/Testers whom I had the privilege to interact with during my course of learning. It would not be possible without the help and encouragement from each and every one of you.
With Thanks,
Michelle Ng
Compliment for Mr Sulaiman
We are writing this letter to compliment one of your driving instructors, Mr. Sulaiman Bin. Hussin, for his outstanding teaching efforts and patience.
Mr Sulaiman goes the extra mile to make driving lessons interesting. He manages to engage his learners, making driving lessons a more pleasant experience.
Mr Sulaiman also makes the effort to correct his learners’ mistakes, and teaches them valuable skills beyond passing the driving test. We have found his additional tips very useful after beginning to drive on the actual road.
His genuine passion for teaching inspires us, as learners, to strive for the best results. Neither of us had met a driving instructor as motivated and dedicated as Mr Sulaiman. He would stay beyond teaching hours to ensure that we fully understand the lesson.
We would certainly recommend our friends to CDC for a great learning experience with instructors like Mr Sulaiman present.
With Regards,

Feedback for my instructor
I cannot thank my instructor, Mr Mohd Fadzli Bin Bachok enough for all he had done to help me meet the challenges throughout my driving course. He had been so patient and understanding with me through the tough transition from the beginning to the end. Mr Fadzli’s lessons were well-structured, excellent and fun. He will explain all manoeuvres and techniques perfectly so I felt capable and thoroughly prepared for my test. He will ensure that I perfect the execution of a particular module before moving on to the next one. Mr Fadzli will go the extra mile to help me improve my driving skills; for example, when he was unable to make it for a particular lesson and I was assigned to another instructor, he (Mr Fadzli) will give me a call after the lesson and asked me what the covering instructor had taught me for the session. He would then meet up with the instructor to get his feedback on my driving skills. Mr Fadzli never gave up on me and gave me so much confidence to be a positive and safe driver.
I would highly recommend Mr Fadzli to any new learner who wants to progress with the best instructors.
Thank you.

Letter of Commendation
I am writing to you to commend the high quality of instruction your driving centre has provided me in the past 8 months.
Thanks to your instructors, I have been able to pass my Class 3 driving test on my first attempt. My Tester said that I had received not just excellent training in the techniques and skills of driving, but also excellent education on various road hazards and how to react to them adequately.
Out of all the instructors who had taught me, I wish to commend the following for their patience and skills in teaching:-
Firstly, instructor Bahtera, who laid the foundational driving skills in me and did not grow frustrated despite the numerous times I stalled the car or drove out of my lane. Instructor Bahtera has the ability to calm the novice learner driver down and continue to have him think rationally, even in highly stressful situations like the U-turn along Jalan Eunos.
Secondly, instructor Tan Puan Jit, who took me out onto the main roads. He was able to summarise much conventional wisdom of driving into simple, easy to remember rules like “Learners along the side of the road means imminent jaywalking” and “Avoid taxis at all cost!”
Thirdly, instructor Ching Ka Fai, who took the most sessions with me. Instructor Ching has found many innovative ways to allow a learner to learn faster and better. One of which is experiential learning where he deliberately lets the learner make a mistake (albeit under safe conditions) in order for the learner to know the limits and never do it again.
Last, but definitely not least, I wish to commend Mr Arthur Lian, the Student Affairs Officer, who has been helping me since day 1. Mr Lian took a personal interest in my driving lessons and called me up frequently to check on my progress. When my Practical Driving Test date got closer, his efforts to secure several last-minute lessons were invaluable and were a large contributing factor to my performance during the test. He became some sort of mentor figure to myself as he was always in touch with me and I could always look for him in event of a problem.
The abovementioned staff truly exemplify the high service standards which CDC is famed for. Having shared my experiences with my peers who do not attend CDC, I am convinced that CDC offers both the highest standards of instruction and service (and yes, you can quote me on that). I would not hesitate to recommend others to your driving centre.
Thank you.

Commendation
I was a student at the driving center and have just passed the driving test.
I would like to commend a couple of driving instructors for their dedication and warmth during my learning at the center. It is never easy to learn a new skill but some of your instructors have been very patient while teaching. I would like to
especially mention two of my instructors: Mr Wahyudi Bin Hairoman and Mr Hong Kong Hwee. I have learnt under both instructors. Even though I belong to the common pool of learners, both of them have seen me through a lot of my learning process. Both have been stern and yet patient with me. They are always quick to give their feedback during the lessons and never failed to sternly remind me when a mistake was made. I feel that I have learned a lot under their coaching and I will always remember all the kind reminders given by them.
Thank you.

Learnt Driving at 50
I would like to express my thanks to Mr Seah Choon Chai.
I learnt driving under the REQUEST (or PRESSURE) from my husband. If not, do you think I will pick it up at the age of 50?
I had no confidence when I first encountered driving. Even after a few lessons, I still could not make myself comfortable and confident. Then it occurred to me that it would be better to have a fixed instructor to better facilitate my learning progress.
Mr Seah tried all means to make me comfortable and confident, and always emphasized the FEELING of driving.
I learnt everything about driving from Mr Seah and what impressed me most was the use of rearview mirror and lane changing. I did not realize how valuable these skills were until I got my licence and drove on the roads by myself.
Besides teaching, I am also impressed by Mr Seah’s attitude and responsibility. He teaches from the heart and I was always glad to have his guidance.
Thanks again to Mr Seah for changing me from a “know nothing” to a confident driver. I wish him every success and happiness.
Luk P. L.
